ASCAP 2024 ACM Winners: Chris Stapleton, Nate Smith, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and More

What a night with The Academy of Country Music! On Thursday, May 16 The 59th ACM Awards were broadcast live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, hosted by ASCAP member and Nashville icon Reba McEntire. The ASCAP family celebrated a number of exciting victories and musical moments.

 

The accolades continue to roll in for Chris Stapleton – he took home 4 awards for the night, including his third Male Artist of the Year Award, Artist-Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year (2 trophies, for both Artist & Producer roles). 

  

And the wins don’t stop there – Dan & Shay took home Duo of the Year. Group of the Year went to Old Dominion, and Nate Smith took home the buzzy New Male Artist of the Year. Single of the Year went to Luke Comb's cover of Tracy Chapman’s ageless “Fast Car,” over 35 years after its initial release – shoutout to producer Jonathan Singleton. Song of the Year went to “Next Thing You Know” by Jordan Davis – and congrats to co-writer Josh Osborne! And finally, Zach Crowell took home the Music Event of the Year Award for producing the Jelly Roll hit Save Me.
