George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Old Dominion and More Take Home Top Honors at 58th Annual CMA Awards

Full of unforgettable performances and top honors for ASCAP members, The 58th Annual CMA Awards were truly something to sing about for the ASCAP country music family!

 

Country music powerhouse Chris Stapleton adds four trophies to his shelf with his ninth win for Male Vocalist of the Year, along with Single of the Year, as both the artist and producer, and Song of the Year for his hit “White Horse,” written with fellow ASCAP member Dan Wilson and mixed by acclaimed ASCAP producer, engineer and mixer Vance Powell.

 

George Strait was honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, previously given to ASCAP legends including Alan Jackson and Charley Pride, among others.

 

Old Dominion earned their seventh trophy for Vocal Group of the Year, becoming the second-most-awarded group in the category. Meanwhile, Will Bundy took home his first CMA Award as the producer for Musical Event of the Year, and producer Trent Willmon was honored for his work on Album of the Year.

 

It was a star-studded night with performances from ASCAP artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, Noah Kahan, Dierks Bentley, Shaboozey and Chris Stapleton.
