Critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Amy Allen made history this year as one of the five inaugural Songwriter of the Year nominees at the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Amy’s writing credits can be found across some of 2022's biggest albums including Harry Styles’s Harry’s House (“Matilda”), Lizzo’s Special (“If You Love Me”), and Charli XCX’s Crash (“Move Me”). She also co-wrote the standout track “My Mind and Me” from Selena Gomez’s Apple TV+ documentary of the same name, and collaborated with King Princess across her latest record, Hold on Baby.
Amy’s success over the last few years has led to her becoming one of the most in-demand songwriters in pop music landing her a coveted spot on Forbes’s 30 Under 30 List and featured as one of Variety’s “Hitmakers of the Month.” In 2021, Amy was honored at the Ivor Novello Awards, recognized as the pinnacle of creative musical achievement, where she, along with Tyler Johnson, Kid Harpoon and Harry Styles, took home the prestigious award for their GRAMMY-nominated song “Adore You.”
In addition to writing for some of today’s top artists, Amy released her first solo EP AWW! in 2021, where she presented a bold, distinctive perspective on the rewards and challenges of living and creating in today’s world. In making this body of work, Amy rediscovered her love of both writing and performing her own songs. Billboard has named her a “super-songwriter,” along with other support from the likes of Variety, NYLON, People and American Songwriter, who praised, “Allen comes into her own as a solo act.”
