ASCAP celebrated the writers and publishers of the most performed Christian music of 2020 at our 2021 ASCAP Christian Music Awards, held September 22-23 across our social media platforms. It was a chance to thank our members for inspiring us and helping us keep our hopes up during another difficult year; and in turn, a chance for these brilliant songwriters to thank their fans and collaborators for their support. 

For the fourth time in his career, Matthew West was named ASCAP Christian Songwriter of the Year; Cory Asbury took home ASCAP Christian Songwriter-Artist of the Year, “Famous For (I Believe)” won ASCAP Christian Song of the Year, and Capitol CMG Publishing became Publisher of the Year for the 19th consecutive year.
