ASCAP Composers Take Nine IFMCA Awards

The International Film Music Critics Association announced the winners of the 2020 IFMCA Awards, and ASCAP composers positively raked them in! Composer Christopher Willis earned multiple awards, the coveted Film Score of the Year and Best Original Score for a Comedy Film for The Personal History of David Copperfield. ASCAP Henry Mancini Award winners were well represented with scoring giant Hans Zimmer winning for Wonder Woman 1984, prolific screen music guru Michael Giacchino winning for his score to blockbuster video game Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond and film music legend John Powell winning for The Call of the Wild. And the late, great composer Miklós Rózsa – winner of the 1987 ASCAP Golden Soundtrack Award – was honored for a new recording of his classic score, King of Kings.
