MusicMark

MusicMark is a collaboration between ASCAP, BMI and SOCAN that simplifies the work registration process for music publishers.

With MusicMark, music publishers can efficiently register batches of their music with all three performing rights organizations (PROs) at once. That means a more streamlined path from registration to royalty for publishers and PROs.

MusicMark FAQs

How does MusicMark work?
Through MusicMark, publishers can register a batch of works with ASCAP, BMI and SOCAN simultaneously, even if the works were co-written by members of different societies. Each PRO then integrates the registration data into its respective repertory of works.

Visit musicmark.com for more details about the process.
What’s the benefit of using MusicMark?
MusicMark gives publishers an efficient way to register their music with ASCAP, BMI and SOCAN all at once.
Who is eligible to use MusicMark?
If you are a member or affiliate of ASCAP, BMI or SOCAN, you are eligible to submit works to MusicMark. Affiliates of other PROs are not eligible at this time.
What file formats does MusicMark accept?
MusicMark is currently available to publishers that register music through common works registration (CWR) or electronic batch registration (EBR).

Why do I need to opt into the MusicMark terms of use and privacy policy?
Our new terms of use and privacy policy are designed to protect our members’ royalties and data, and prevent fraudulent registrations.
What is MusicMark doing to secure the data I submit and prevent fraud?

Your registration files will be uploaded to a dedicated SFTP server for your company. In addition, all users of MusicMark must agree to the MusicMark Terms of Use Agreement, which explicitly prohibits its use for fraudulent submissions and other improper conduct.
