Music City Hitmakers Hillary Lindsey, Gary Nicholson, Brad Paisley and Tommy Sims Nominated for 2022 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

As the acclaimed storytellers behind some of Music City’s biggest hits, ASCAP songwriters Hillary Lindsey, Gary Nicholson and Tommy Sims have been nominated to join the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2022 in the Contemporary Songwriters category. The esteemed hitmakers are joined by ASCAP country music superstar Brad Paisley, who’s up for induction in the Contemporary Songwriter/Artists category.

The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame recognizes significant contributions to the Nashville songwriting community. All nominees must have experienced their first Top 20 song at least 20 years ago. In the coming months, two songwriters and one songwriter/artist will be elected in these categories by their professional songwriter peers and members of the Hall of Fame.

In addition, two more songwriters will be named to the Class of 2022. A separate body of voters will elect a Veteran Songwriter and a Veteran Songwriter/Artist, both of whom experienced their first Top 20 song at least 30 years ago. As part of that process, nominees in those categories are not announced.

The new group of inductees-elect will be among those honored at the 52nd Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the Music City Center.
