The music industry converged on @ascap socials April 11-14 for the 2022 ASCAP Pop Music Awards, honoring the songwriters, producers and publishers of the songs that soundtracked our lives in 2021. This year's winners were our most diverse class ever, hailing from every point of the popular music spectrum – from pop to hip-hop, country to Latin music, and all points in between. 

Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo was named Songwriter of the Year at her first ever ASCAP awards show – the equivalent of hitting a grand slam during her first at-bat. And the effortlessly catchy "Levitating" took its elevated place as Song of the Year. The venerable Sony Music Publishing earned Publisher of the Year. 

Throughout the week, our winners took us into their studios and homes to offer songwriting tips and exclusive performances, or just to offer thanks and congratulations. See some of the highlights below.
