11 Celebrated ASCAP Acts Nominated for 2022 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

February 4, 2022

It’s Rock Hall nomination season - and ASCAP legends are raking in the noms, as usual!

Grammy-winning pop-R&B-funk godfather Lionel Richie was recognized with his first ever Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination. He’s not the only ASCAP creator who’s a first time nominee. Indie rocker, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Beck earned his first nomination, as did groundbreaking hip-hop legends A Tribe Called Quest. The UK came to represent, with nominations for ‘80s new wave faves Duran Duran and dynamic ‘80s pop duo Eurythmics, and heavy metal icons Judas Priest. Celebrated folk singer/songwriter Carly Simon was nominated. Afrobeat innovator Fela Kuti was recognized with another nomination, and we can’t forget about American rock & roll pioneers MC5 and New York Dolls, who earned noms as well.

Don’t forget - you can vote for your favorite ASCAP nominees to be inducted! Vote, get more information about these luminaries and keep up with the latest news for the 2022 induction at https://vote.rockhall.com. Voting ends on April 29, so get your ballot together!
