Behind the Songs with Spencer Stewart: Jazz Lover and Laufey's Musical Soulmate

Spencer Stewart is a GRAMMY-winning producer and composer based in Los Angeles. Among Stewart’s closest collaborators are Laufey, for whom he executive produced the GRAMMY-winning LP Bewitched, and Ravyn Lenae, whose chart-topping hit “Love Me Not” he co-wrote and produced. With a degree in Jazz Performance and Film Composition from Berklee, Stewart also composes music for film and TV. Spencer and Laufey's latest collaboration, A Matter of Time, is out now.

ASCAP's Etan Rosenbloom sat down with Spencer in his home studio for an exclusive behind the song look at their song "Sabotage" (watch the video above) as well as an in-depth discussion (below) of Spencer's musical origins, sonic passions and creative process.
