Global ASCAP Family Wins at the 2021 World Soundtrack Awards

October 28, 2021

On October 23, 2021, the World Soundtrack Awards celebrated its 21st edition with a ceremony and concert at Opera Ghent with the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Dirk Brossé. It was the first time since 2019 the prestigious event brought back the film music community together along with industry professionals and fans from all over the world.

Among ASCAP's seven winners, Daniel Pemberton took home top honors as Film Composer of the Year, just a few days after earning the Top Box Office Film of the Year award for Birds of Prey at the ASCAP London Music Awards. Pemberton was previously named Discovery of the Year at the 2014 World Soundtrack Awards, for his scores to Cuban Fury and The Counselor.

Congrats to all of our ASCAP screen music global family of winners!
